The apartment will be clean, fresh and ready for your arrival, beds will be made and clean towels provided which we will clean after your departure. There are extra towels and bed sheets for your use during your stay. The extra towels and bed sheets has to be washed for that reason we have in each apartment a washing machine.

In this page you will find the necessary terms and conditions for a better usage of our services.

One of the most important things regarding private apartments is to make sure that the landlord has been informed of the arrival date and time of the new tenants, so that he may pass on the keys and possibly ask for direct payment.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE CONTACTED US BEFORE YOU ARRIVE ON THE ISLAND, in order to establish a meeting time. Private apprtments are not like hotels which offer a 24 hour service.

1)In order to confirm the booking of a private appartment, you are required to make a wire transfer of 150 Euros, to be credited to the relevant bank details (depending on the chosen appartment).

2)The remainder of the rent will be paid in cash (UK Pounds or Euros) when handed the keys of the appartment. Travellers cheques and credit cards are not accepted.

3)A deposit of around 100-150 Euros is usually left with the landlord when you pick up the keys, and this is duly returned upon leaving unless damage to the property has occurred.

The client must return the keys and make sure that everything is in perfect state.
If there is anything broken or damaged due to mal treatment or use by the client will have to pay for the full amount of damages.

Notes on prices

Changeover day
We do not have designated changeover days so we are flexible, however we do require guests to leave the apartment by 12 AM and for new guests not to arrive until after 4 PM - unless by prior arrangement.

What time of year should I go?
While it is always good to go on holiday in July and August, there are many benefits to going off-season, especially in Spring and Autumn. The weather is good, but not too hot, the roads and facilities less crowded, and the costs of your travel is less. You can pay much less for your travel if you avoid Christmas, new year, School half term and Easter.

What should I do before I leave home?
Make sure you have directions to the apartment and that you have clear instructions on arrival and who is going to let you in. And make sure you have the name and telephone number of some one on the spot who you can contact if anything goes wrong.

What if there is a problem during my holiday?
If you have a problem, do get in touch straightaway with us. We have the local knowledge to sort things out on the spot. It is not worth suffering in silence, then complaining that you had a bad holiday. Now just relax and enjoy your holiday! Don't forget you are staying in some one's home - so treat it with respect.

What happens when I leave?
The owner or their representative should check you out of the property, and assuming there is no damage, will refund your security deposit.

Value for money:
As you are often booking direct from the owner, you can get an extremely good deal. You can stay in a fully equipped home with your own living room, dining room and kitchen, not just a hotel bedroom. If you consider the number of people a property sleeps, and that the rates are usually for a week, the price per person per night, is often very low.

Freedom & Privacy:
The joy of staying in our accommodation is the freedom it gives you - to eat when you like, dress how you like, do what you like, when you like. You have your own living space, not just a bedroom; and a kitchen you can use as much or as little as you like. This type of holiday is perfect for families, and especially enjoyable for people who travel on business and cannot bear the sight of another hotel room!

Be a local - not just a tourist:
The joy of what the English call "self-catering" is that you can eat what you like when you like. Wake up and have breakfast when you want - not when the hotel thinks you should have it. Buy some cheese, meats, salad, and bread for an informal lunch. And for dinner you can either indulge your passion for cooking with fresh local ingredients - or you can eat in your choice of local restaurants. Again, we will usually recommend the best places - from haute cuisine to the local bistro. After a few days, the shop keepers and restaurateurs will start to recognise you - so you can really experience life as a local - not just a tourist.
